PerilDash ยท last updated 27 August 2026

PerilDash is a free insurance underwriting game. It is built to need almost nothing about you, and this page describes exactly what that means.

What is stored

Company nameThe name you type for your insurance company. Chosen by you, shown on the leaderboard.
Your gameCapital, rounds played, decisions and results โ€” the game itself.
A browser tokenA random identifier in a cookie, so your game is still there when you come back. It is not linked to any advertising or tracking system.
Google account IDOnly if you choose to sign in. An opaque number Google uses to identify you to this game, and to no one else.

What is not stored

When you sign in, Google offers this game your email address, your full name and your profile picture. PerilDash discards all three without reading them. They are never written down.

There is no advertising, no analytics, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts beyond Google's own sign-in button. Nothing about you is sold or shared, because there is nothing to sell.

Why sign in at all

Only to appear on the leaderboard. A leaderboard needs a way to know it is still you on a different day or a different device, and the Google account ID is that and nothing more. You can play the entire game, forever, without signing in.

Deleting everything

The game has a delete option in its settings, which removes your player, your games and your leaderboard entry immediately and permanently. There is no recovery and no copy kept, beyond nightly backups that are overwritten within seven days. You can also write to hello@perildash.com.

Where it lives

On a single server in Ireland, run by the game's author. Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Nightly database backups are kept for seven days and then deleted.

Children

The game involves no real money, no gambling and no purchases. It is not directed at children under 13, and no account is required to play.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date above changes with it.
